Psychiatric Medication Management for Ages 5-17
Amy is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. In working with children and teens, she combines the therapeutic elements of art, sand, and play to provide clients a safe and empowering environment allowing for positive change and growth. Amy specializes in helping children (and parents) in emotional regulation, decreasing anxiety, managing anger and impulse control, and strengthening family relationships. Her experience comes from her work with adoptive families, victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse, and families who have experienced death and divorce. She recognizes that behavioral symptoms may often mask the underlying emotional, relational and sensory needs of a child and works with parents, pediatricians, and teachers to provide systemic support for each client. Amy offers psychiatric evaluations and medication management for children and teenagers struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD symptoms, and emotional/behavioral dysregulation. In addition to counseling services, Amy offers individual and group supervision for individuals working towards their LMFT license and seeking their RPT credential. Amy received her undergraduate degree from Taylor University in Upland, IN and graduated with both her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy and Doctorate in Clinical Counseling and Supervision from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN. Amy received her Masters of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University and is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Amy is a founding member and managing partner of Arcadian Therapeutic Services.
