Originally from North Carolina, Kay moved to Nashville with the goal of working with children and families and is known for her sense of humor and creativity. Using evidence-based interventions, Kay is passionate about providing a safe space for individuals to express their thoughts, feelings, and true self in the best way they can through a strengths-focused approach. Kay has a background in working with children who have diverse forms of mental and physical disabilities and is focused on supporting them and their siblings of any age through their unique family system experience. Kay believes in the resiliency of families and strives to support each member through play, art, and experiential therapies while creating space for the growth and grief that may need to be processed as the family grows emotionally healthier together. Kay received her Bachelor of Arts in Family Science from Lipscomb University and is completing her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy Program from Lipscomb with a specialization in play therapy.
