Abby enjoys working with children, teens, and families by creating a warm and collaborative environment that values each individual's unique strengths and personality. She feels privileged to come alongside individuals as they work through the effects of past trauma, difficult relationships, grief, anxiety, and depression. Believing that healing occurs within life-giving relationships, she works to promote both healthy relationships and personal growth within the context of the family. She enjoys using play-based interventions and creativity in the counseling room to promote emotional awareness and connection between children and parents. She has training in EMDR, Trauma Focused-CBT, TBRI, A-CRA, and Collaborative Problem Solving. She incorporates different principles and interventions to best fit the needs of each client and family. Abby received a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, GA.
